Rock Collection Collection began around 1988 when my parents got me my first rock collection (RCC-016) from a spot in New England. I was largely unaware of just how many of these kits had been produced by hobbyists, educators, state departments and so on —but around 2016 I was gifted a second box which prompted me to do some research. I began collecting and at present there are about 45 collections in the collection.
I am not a geologist; I collect these based on personal aesthetic taste —some of the things I'm drawn to include handwriting, home-made / DIY production, sloppy glue, certain color schemes and reasonable pricing.
If you'd like to display Rock Collection Collection somewhere, I'm open to opportunities. Feel free to reach out and note that for non-profits and community organizations I'd be happy to offer super cheap rates. Thanks for stopping by.
